Established in 1928, Sunshine Village rises to nearly 9,000 feet, the hightest ski resort in the Canadian Rockies. The resort offers the kind of alpine charm and hospitality that skiers and snowboarders dream about, and you'll find the only "ski_in, ski-out", hotel in Banff National Park at the Sunshine Inn - where your stay affords you the first tracks on morning powder snow and last run on one of Sunshine's 3 mountains at the end of a perfect day.

Skiing Description :

BEGINNERS :
The lower slopes of each of the three mountains are excellent nursery areas for beginners. Each area has its own ski school with tuition provided by some of the world's leading instructors.

ADVANCED :
There are over 200 km of marked runs, not to mention the off-piste skiing at Sunshine and Lake Louise, to challenge experienced skiers.

INTERMEDIATES :
There is a vast array of terrain waiting to be explored with miles of undulating slopes, wide open bowls and intriguing chutes.

SNOWBOARDING :
Ideal for riders of all abilities with all areas providing boarders with a snowboard park.

DINING AND LOUNGES
The choice of poaces to eat is endless, with everything from fast food joints to Japanese sushi bars. Magpie & Stump. Georio's and Paris Restaurant are a few of the recommended eating establishments. There are a wide selection of pubs including the highly recommended Wild Bill's, and an impressive selection of restaurants catering for all tastes and budgets.

Free guided tour of Sunshine's 3 mountains. Tours are daily at 10:30 am an 1:00 pm. Meet in front of Mad Trapper's Saloon in the center of the village.
