Tianjin is one of China's major maritime cities, and the port for Beijing. Its bustling harbour is situated on the River Hai and on the ancient Grand Canal. Ancient Culture Street - often has festivals of dance and music. There is also Qing dynasty architecture and the 14th Century Temple of the Sea Goddess. There are also shops selling local crafts.

Food Street - a vast complex with 110 restaurants serving everything from Chinese snacks to noodles, seafood and spectacular hot pots.
Friendship Club on Machang Dao - the Last Emperor of China-Pu-Yi was the only Chinese member of the Club when he lived here
Great Wall of China - this part of the wall in Jixian Country isn't overrun by tour groups and tourists. You can finish the trip by a comfortable car drive.

Tiancheng Monastry - one of the most famous monasteries on Panshan Mountains, and is a good example of classic Chinese religious architecture

XIAN


Xian , formerly called Chang An, is the capital of Shanxi Province and the biggest city in northwest China. With a history of over 3,000 years, Xian served as China's earliest capital for eleven dynasties, including the Western Zhou, the Qin, the Western Han, the Sui and the Tang dynasties, for a period of 1,180 years, longer than any other. It was also the starting point of the renowed Silk Road, the main trade route between China, central Asia and Europe.

XISHUANGBANNA

Xishuangbanna is one of the few places where travellers can still enjoy the comfort of nature. On this land live more than 13 ethnic groups such as Dai, Hani and Yao, all with colourful customs and rich historical traditions. It holds China's faunal and floral species, and is sometimes better known as natural "kingdom of plants" and "kingdom of animals".
